About Continuing Forward
Updated: Mar 22, 2021
The Anglican Joint Synods in October 2017 marked the beginning of unification efforts of four Anglican jurisdictions. To coordinate the mission and evangelism efforts of these G-4 Anglican churches, in October 2019 Continuing Forward was organized to support the planting of new churches, and the revitalization of existing churches. Both efforts are essential the vitality and growth of the Continuing Anglican movement in the United States.

In January 2020, at the second meeting of the Anglican Joint Synods, Continuing Forward held its first organizational meeting for clergy and laity representing all four jurisdiction. Those present discussed the opportunities and challenges faced by the leaders of new and smaller Continuing Anglican parishes — and expressed interest in pooling resources and working cooperatively to plant new churches and improve the health of existing churches.
As authorized by the provincial bishops of these four jurisdictions, the organizational committee of Continuing Forward is
Rt. Rev. Paul Hewett, Diocesan Bishop, Diocese of the Holy Trinity
Rt. Rev. Bill Perkins, Sufragan Bishop, Diocese of the Eastern United States, Anglican Province of America
Fr. Matt Mirable, Rector, Trinity Anglican (Rochester, NH), Anglican Church in America
Joel West, Director of Mission Communities, Diocese of the Holy Trinity, Anglican Catholic Church
